Data about the traffic that comes from agencies is non-transparent by default. This means that media source information about this traffic is not visible to you and it is all shown as agency traffic.
To be able to view this data fully, you can request from the agency to become transparent.
Once Agency Transparency is activated, all historical data can be viewed.
Agency Transparency in Dashboard
In order to see traffic from a particular agency, do the following:
In the main dashboard, click the Advanced button in the top-right corner:
Click Agency field to open a drop-down list of all agencies you work with.
Transparent agencies are marked accordingly. Click on the name of the agency to view all the traffic provided by it.
The Activity dashboard reflects the data of the transparent agency.
The screenshot below shows the media sources used by transparent agencies.
Using Group By filter, you can group the data by agency too. Selecting multiple agencies in the agency filter and grouping by agency, you can compare in your dashboard the performance of the different agencies with whom you are running campaigns.
Agency Transparency in Reports
Both Aggregated and Raw Data Reports display the data traffic sources of the transparent agency.
For transparent agencies, the Agency/PMD (af_prt) column remains empty, while the Media Source (pid) column contains the name of the media source used by the transparent agency. For non-transparent agencies, both columns contain the agency name.
In Cohort reports, transparency is currently not supported. Media source agency data is shown as not transparent for both transparent and non-transparent agencies.
Agency Transparency in Retention Dashboard
The Group By filter allows you to group data by agency and media source to reflect the transparent agency traffic.
Agency transparency is supported for all kinds of API access.
Once the agency transparency is enabled, the data is available through all API methods (Push, Pull, Master, or Data Locker).
