Agency Configuration for Google AdWords Campaigns

As part of AppsFlyer's advanced integration with Google, AppsFlyer is able to support multiple calls to Google AdWords which enables Agencies to promote the same app on behalf of an advertiser using their own conversion and label IDs.

Adding a New Agency Configuration for Google AdWords

In order to configure the agency's conversion and label IDs, follow these steps:

1. Go to Settings >> Integrated Partners.  Search for Google AdWords and click the icon to display the Google AdWords configuration page.

2. In Google AdWords configuration window, populate the conversion and label IDs

3.  Click Save & Close.

NOTES:

  • In order for Google AdWords Android campaigns tracking to work correctly you need to enable auto tagging in your Google AdWords dashboard. Please refer to Google Adwords for more details by clicking here.
  • AppsFlyer supports up to 20 different configurations per app including the advertiser's own configuration.
This means - 20 unique conversion IDs and labels provided by AdWords.
  • If the conversion and label ID fields are disabled, the advertiser already has 20 agencies with different Google AdWords configurations. These fields are configurable once one of the existing configurations is deleted.
  • In order for AppsFlyer to attribute an install to an agency, AppsFlyer must be able to identify the agency. Agencies can pass their identity to AppsFlyer in one of the two following ways:
    a) Adding the af_prt=AGENCYNAME parameter to the tracking link on Google AdWords where possible or via the referrer as part of the URL.
    For example: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rovio.angrybirds&...&referrer=c%3DCampaign1%26af_sub2%3D{network}&af_prt%3Dagency_name.
    b) Using a conversion ID and Label that is different from what the advertiser is using.
