Permission options for ad networks

Enable the Allow to configure the integration and Allow to configure in-app event postbacks only if you clearly understand the impact. When enabled, these permissions give the ad network access to all attribution events. This includes organic traffic and non-organic traffic from all media sources.

The following are the permission types that advertisers can grant to the ad network:

  • Allow to configure integration: permit the partner to make changes to the integration tab.
  • In-app event postbacks: If Allow to configure integration is enabled then you can Allow to configure in-app event postbacks. Caution! Enabling this permission allows the ad network to set it's own in-app event postback mapping on the integration tab.
    • Any changes made to the configuration overwrite the current configuration irrespective of whether it is set by the advertiser or the ad network.
    • By enabling the in-app event postback configuration you are allowing the ad network to map events to themselves giving them potential access to all your attribution data.
  • Allow access to your sessions data: means to the partner's own sessions data included in the retention and other reports.
  • Allow access to your aggregate loyal user data: means to the partner's own loyal user data
  • Allow access to your aggregate in-app events data: means to the partner's own in-app events data. Note where enabled the ad network has access to:
    • All in-app events measured by AppsFlyer (both SDK and S2S) and attributed to the network, not only to the events mapped in the postback configuration.
    • Ad Revenue gives the ad network access to ad monetization events data as well. This data may include ad monetization events from other media sources.
  • Allow access to your aggregate revenue data: means to revenue attributed to users brought by the ad network. Revenue includes in-app revenue and ad revenue of ads displayed in the app. Note: This permission does not directly identify the ad revenue partner. However, if you have set the monetization event name to include the partner name, you may inadvertently disclose the identity of the monetization network.
  • Allow spend ingestion: means they can view the Ad Spend Ingestion window. In the window they are limited to apps that they have permission for. Send ad spend files for ingestion.
  • Allow access to your Protect360 dashboard: only to the partner's own Protect360 data, and providing the feature is enabled for the advertiser

For details of Agency Permissions, see here.
