Bulletin: Supporting the new Google EU consent policy

What's new

As part of Google’s preparations for the enforcement of the Digital Markets Act (DMA), Google is updating their EU user consent policy. AppsFlyer is making the necessary changes to support Google’s policy requirements while ensuring that advertisers maximize the value of their Google Ads marketing channels.

Effective date

March 6, 2024

Relevant integrations and audience

All advertisers with apps integrated with Google Ads or GMP DV360 (googleadwords_int, dv360_int), that have end users based in the European Economic Area (EEA).

Required actions

To comply with Google's requirements, advertisers must collect consent from EEA users for personal data usage and send them to Google. AppsFlyer facilitates this process by sending the consent signals to Google using the AppsFlyer SDK. Update your AppsFlyer SDK to ensure compliance. See all the details here
