About the analytics partner integration

An analytics partner account in AppsFlyer is a specialized account for analytics providers. It enables access to install and in-app event postback data, which allows partners to analyze user behavior, campaign results, and app performance. This article is intended for analytics providers that want to set up a partner integration with AppsFlyer.

Set up the integration

To set up the integration, follow these steps:

Step 1: Register account 

  1. Create a new PID via advertiser invitation: 
    Analytics partner accounts (and PID creation) can only be initiated through an advertiser’s invitation. Share this link with your advertiser and ask them to send you an invitation.
     
  2. Complete registration: 
    Follow the steps provided in the invitation email to complete the ad network registration process. 

    Note: Ensure that the email address used for registration is not associated with an existing AppsFlyer account as a team member or admin.

Step 2: Set up postback endpoint and profile 

  1. Approval email: Once your registration is approved, you’ll receive an email inviting you to complete mandatory integration steps.
  2. Configure postback endpoint: Refer to the Postback macros for analytics partners article to set up your postback endpoint and macros using AppsFlyer’s postback management platform.
  3. Profile setup:
    1. In AppsFlyer, navigate to the menu bar and select your email address > Partner Setup.
    2. On the Profile tab, complete the company information, and upload your company logo.
    3. Click Save to apply the changes.

Step 3: Convert account type

  1. Open a ticket for account conversion:
    In AppsFlyer, from the top menu, select Help > Contact our team. Use the partner assistant widget to submit a ticket requesting the conversion of your account to an analytics account. Be sure to include the following information:
    • A list of mutual advertisers planning to collaborate with your company.
    • An overview of your company’s background and information about the core services you provide.
  2. Validation and conversion: AppsFlyer will validate your request and convert your ad network account to an analytics account after verification. 

FAQ

Can I change my current ad network account to an analytics account?

No, only a newly registered PID can be converted to an analytics account. A new PID refers to one that has not sent any clicks or impressions to AppsFlyer.

Do I have access to raw data export?

No, analytics accounts can only receive install and in-app event postbacks.

Can I use attribution links to generate traffic for advertisers in an analytics account?

No, an analytics account does not have attribution links and cannot send clicks or impressions to AppsFlyer.
