How can we help?

AI Assistant

  • Updated

At a glance: The AI Assistant is your virtual analyst and platform knowledge helper in AppsFlyer. Use it to uncover insights, measure performance, identify top and low performers, explore campaign trends, and understand visual insights like tables and charts, either by asking questions directly in the AI Assistant or by using Analyze with AI from My Dashboards to investigate specific charts in context.

About AI Assistant

The AI Assistant is your self-service analytics and guidance companion, built to help you uncover insights and make smarter decisions with AppsFlyer. Use it side by side with your dashboard data to quickly explore and understand your marketing performance.

What you can do

Ask the AI Assistant plain-language questions to get:

  • Data-related answers: performance insights, campaign trends, top and low performers, and more, drawing on My Dashboards metrics and dimensions as well as AppsFlyer’s growing set of connected data sources.
  • How-to guidance: platform navigation, feature explanations, and setup help based on AppsFlyer’s documentation.
  • Platform management, without switching screens: check app settings, SDK integration status, audit OneLink templates and links, and review the health of your cost and ad revenue integrations, all from the chat.
  • Agent Hub run analysis: ask questions about a completed Agent Hub run, right from where you’re reviewing it. See Agent Hub overview [Beta] to learn more.

Responses can appear as text, tables, or charts, depending on what best fits your question.

Where to open it

How to use the AI assistant

  1. Click the sparkle AI star ai_star.png in the navigation bar to open the chat window.
  2. Ask a question. These can be:
    1. Picked from the suggested questions
    2. Type your own question. These can be:
      1. Data-related questions.
      2. How-to questions.
  3. View the responses in text, table, or charts.
  4. Use the follow-up suggestions to refine your analysis or question.

Tip!

The AI assistant will respond differently depending on which page you ask the question on.

  • When using the chat in My dashboards, responses will be shown according to the selected apps unless you tell the AI otherwise.
  • In any other page, the answer will be provided based on the first app in the account, unless you tell the AI otherwise.
  • Up to 20 apps can be analyzed at a time.

Other features

  • The chat can be resized by clicking on the expand button.
  • Use the Copy button to save responses if needed.
  • Start a new conversation by clicking on the right side icon.

How to use Analyze with AI

From any chart in My Dashboards

  1. Hover over a widget.
  2. Click the Analyze with AI ai_star.png button.
  3. Choose a predefined question (summary, trend explanation, comparison, etc.) or type your own.
  4. The AI Assistant sidebar opens with the answer and suggested follow-up questions.
  5. Continue the conversation to explore specific segments, metrics, or time ranges in more detail.

How to use AI Assistant in Agent Hub

From a completed run in Agent Hub

  1. Go to the Activity tab in Agent Hub.
  2. Click Analyze activity on a completed run.
  3. Ask your question. The AI Assistant opens with context from that run already loaded.

Conversation History

The AI Assistant keeps a history of your conversations so you can pick up where you left off instead of re-explaining context. Your history is private. Only you can see the conversations you’ve had; other users on your account can’t view them.

Where to find it: Click the history icon next to the close (X) button on the AI Assistant chat window. This opens your conversation history as a side panel alongside the chat.

  • Conversations from the last 30 days, listed newest to oldest.
  • Each conversation is timestamped — current conversation, or the full date and time (e.g., Feb 10, 3:15 PM) for older conversations.
  • Conversations older than 30 days are automatically removed from your history, unless pinned.
  • Search within past conversations is available by conversation name.

Managing conversations:

  • Open a conversation to view it in full.
  • Continue a past conversation: new messages are added to that thread, and it moves back to the top of your list.
  • Rename a conversation to make it easier to find later.
  • Pin a conversation to keep it easily accessible near the top of your list.
  • Delete a conversation you no longer need from your history view (it may still be stored in the database).

Good to know:

  • When you reopen an older conversation, any data shown reflects the point in time it was originally retrieved. If you ask a new question in that conversation, the AI Assistant uses current data to answer it.
  • A new chat starts automatically after a period of inactivity, when you click "New Chat," or when you sign in again. Your previous conversation is saved to history.

Other information

Permissions & admin controls

  • You must have access to the AppsFlyer platform and at least one app in your account.
  • Admin permissions are needed to enable or disable the AI Assistant, from Account management (via the account menu in the top bar).

Data and knowledge sources

The AI Assistant is powered by OpenAI’s large language models, combined with AppsFlyer’s own data sets to keep answers accurate and relevant to your account.

The AI Assistant draws on several AppsFlyer data sets to generate its answers:

  • Knowledge Base and Developer Hub: combined with your account-level information to provide accurate, relevant answers to how-to and setup questions.
  • AppsFlyer’s platform data and tools: the same dimensions and metrics available in My Dashboards, plus a growing set of MCP tools that connect the AI Assistant directly to live account data and platform actions, including My Apps and OneLink management, and analytics measurement. Learn more in AppsFlyer MCP [Beta].

Any account, user, or app information used to generate answers is restricted and used only according to your permissions.

Feedback

Your feedback helps us improve the AI Assistant. If a response is unclear, incomplete, or incorrect:

  • Use the thumbs up/down options, or add a custom comment.
  • Continue the conversation directly in chat to refine the answer.
