Appodeal campaign configuration

At a glance: Appodeal, an AppsFlyer integrated partner, provides app owners with click attribution and an all-in-one ad monetization solution. Ad revenue is reported with user-level granularity.

Setting up Appodeal integration

AppsFlyer integration with Appodeal supports click attribution and user-level ad revenue attribution.

Advertisers set up Appodeal using the Dashboard.

To access Appodeal settings:

  1. Go to Configuration > Integrated partners.
  2. Search for and select Appodeal.
  3. Update settings (per tab) as required. See the following section.

Update setting tab content as required: Integration, Attribution link, and Ad revenue.


Configure this section if Appodeal provides ad network advertising services.

To enable the integration:

  1. Enable Activate Partner.
  2. Click Save Integration.

Attribution link

Generate click attribution links (for use by Appodeal) via this tab. More about link structure and parameters.

To generate an attribution link:

  1. Select a parameter from the Parameter name drop-down list and set a value.
  2. Click Add parameter and repeat the above step to add more parameters.
  3. Set the duration of the click-through lookback window. 
  4. Copy the click-attribution link and send it to the ad network.
    Note: AppsFlyer does not save links.

The Click-through lookback window is preset; it is the maximum allowed time from click to install.

Example: An install (first launch) made after the clickbut before the expiry of the lookback windowis attributed to Appodeal.

Typical link parameters

Use to attribute installs to specific publishers.

Good practice! If there are multiple publishers,

  • Limit the number of site IDs in use
  • Use the subsite ID parameter to avoid exceeding the site ID limitation
Subscriber parameters af_sub1, af_sub2, af_sub3, af_sub4, and af_sub5

Use to insert values.

  • Parameters are parsed and included in the raw data report. 
  • Use them to perform data aggregation or filtering


Appodeal sends CPI cost data via the attribution link.

Ad revenue

Before you start:

Contact Appodeal to get these credentials:

  • Application key
  • API key
  • User ID

To enable user-level ad revenue attribution with Appodeal:

  1. Go to the Ad revenue tab.
  2. Enable Get ad revenue data.
  3. Complete the credential fields.
  4. Select the type of ad revenue data you want to receive: Attributed revenue and/or Aggregated monetization revenue:
    • Attributed Revenue: Revenue based on the user acquisition source. Select to receive either user-level or aggregate data. When selecting aggregate data, In Event Source, select in-app event that represents the ad monetization trigger. This event is usually sent for each ad impression. For example, ad watched or video watched.
    • Aggregated monetization revenue: Revenue based on the ad source.
  5. Click Save Ad revenue.
  6. Click Test Connection
  7. Do one of the following:
    • If the message API connection verified displays, you have successfully completed the procedure. AppsFlyer collects the data from the partner once a day.
    • If any other message displays, take corrective action in accordance with the status message.


No permissions need to be set for Appodeal.
